Professional career
Paula Chang has been a massage therapist since 2011, specializing in Traditional Thai Massage, certified as a teacher by Ong's Thai Massage School — a renowned institution in Thailand and recognized by the Ministry of Education.
Since 2012, Paula has dedicated herself specifically to caring for the elderly , an experience that profoundly transformed her therapeutic perspective and inspired the creation of REVIVER—a pioneering initiative that brings emotional listening, breathing exercises, meditation, and Thai massage to senior residences in Portugal through a structured, sensitive, and deeply humane protocol. Over the years, she has applied the REVIVER Protocol in individual sessions with seniors and witnessed significant changes in vitality, cognition, mobility, and life satisfaction—profound reflections of reconnection with the body, affection, and presence.
As a trainer since 2014, Paula has trained more than 450 students, organized into approximately 30 Thai Massage training groups. The professionals who work at REVIVER are therapists trained by her and specifically trained in the protocol, ensuring ethical, empathetic, and transformative care.
In 2019, he developed the Samaádhi Thai method —a signature approach that combines the tradition of Thai Massage with a more dance-like, gentle, and deeply affective approach, intertwined with meditative practice. Through this method, he trained several therapists, transmitting not only the technique but also a philosophy of more sensitive, intuitive, and connected care. For three years, he ran his own school — Purusha – Study Center — a vibrant space for sharing and growth, hosting workshops with other therapists, personal development activities for groups, and projects co-created in partnership with professionals from different fields.
He is currently a student at the Algarve Biodanza School , using the method created by Rolando Toro, deepening his study of the body as a territory of emotional, vital and relational expression.
Today, as director of REVIVER , Paula Chang brings together her practical experience, her dedication to training therapists, and her soul's purpose in a project that honors the dignity, health, and presence of our elderly. She deeply believes that touch, listening, and genuine presence have the power to transform lives—and that every human being deserves to be cared for with love, respect, and reverence at every stage of life.
